Humbled!! Bad days and good. Brain still works-no chemo brain. Hand, feet, and body warmers – the widget – a fungible item that is easily replaced. Hard to build a schedule when I’m randomly rescheduled arbitrarily. But hey, patients are just widgets. You must advocate for yourselves. The continuum of communication is flawed. Still awaiting the results of my recent MRI. Thanks for thinking of me!!!!
Oncologist appointment. He feared a pulmonary embolus (PE) because the heart rate is up and there is some shortness of breath and cancer puts you in a hypercoagulable state. Sent for an emergent CT. Good news no PE! Bad news small clot in a deep vein so blood thinners, crap. Tumors aren’t shrinking but not growing so time to pivot to a more focused treatment that includes some immunotherapy. Toxicity is now attributed to the chemo–duh. New port tattoo. Veins starting to scar. Why not use the frickin’ port?
