Dermatologist was seen today. All of the drugs I’m on cause some skin lesions. A few biopies today. Erbitux lesions on my heels (cracking). Not fun. Walking on my toes a lot. Need to come back every month to the dermatologist as my melanoma risk is higher. Lots of freckles are popping up. Bug attack! Hard to eat enough food to everything I’m supposed to have every day. No more pills, please. Enjoy the weather, whether you like it or not.
Got myself caught up… oh man, I can really relate to so much of what you’re experiencing. The plastic chairs for the patients at the infusion center, and the HARD plastic for the care-giver (*insert eye-roll). The weird diets that people will tell you about that are a “cure”. All the pills!! Waiting, and waiting, and then more waiting. Scheduling chaos w/o regard to having a life, or a job. I love your honesty and how open you are with sharing this journey. You are brave and real. I appreciate you. And Bruce. And your kids. It’s a team effort. This is happening to you all. Thank you for inviting us along on this ride. In my experience, it can be a drain to ‘let people know’ the what’s what of cancer. You take all the breaks you need. Or not. 🙂 Please do not ever feel like you owe anyone anything, and chocolate is a necessity not a privilege. I love that you’re driving with the top down (wear the stetson please). And fun fact, diamonds draw the eyes away from chemo rashes… just say’n. Please let me know if I can do anything for you. xo Teri
